Jacob Jordaens (1593–1678) was a Flemish Baroque painter from Antwerp and one of the leading figures of the school of Peter Paul Rubens and Anthony van Dyck. Known for vigorous compositions, rich colour, and lively depictions of biblical, mythological, and genre scenes, his works often convey warmth, theatricality, and strong human presence.
