Hendrick Andriessen (1607–1655) was a Flemish still-life painter active in Antwerp, Belgium. He specialized in vanitas still lifes and “smoker” (tobacco) scenes, using symbolic objects to meditate on life’s brevity and Christian themes such as resurrection.
