Carlo Crivelli (c. 1430–c. 1495) was an Italian painter of the early Renaissance known for highly detailed, jewel-like tempera altarpieces rich in gold ornament and linear precision. Active mainly in the Marche, he maintained a late Gothic intensity while absorbing influences from Andrea Mantegna. His expressive saints and elaborate architectural settings reflect a distinctive, devotional style.
